Turkish Needle Lace (Igne Oya) Forget Me Not Flower Ring
Instructor: Victoria Ong
Course Description: In this workshop, Victoria will teach intermediate/advanced users how to create a forget me knot flower ring. Alternating between two needles will be required and is therefore best for participants familiar with the basics of knotted lace. Learning Points:

Introduction to Turkish Lace Edging (Victoria Ong)
Description - In this workshop, Victoria will teach beginners how to create two different basic edging patterns (Net Edging 2, Bicolor Fringe Edge). Learning points: Knots and Loops-The Fundamental Units in Needle Lace Technique: Increasing Loops in a Row, Decreasing Loops in a Row, Casting on New Color or Adding More Thread, Good Practice with Tail Ends, and Casting on undoing Knots and Mistakes.
Skills Required - Must be comfortable using short needles similar in size to sewing needles. Must have good hand and eye coordination.
Methods/Technique for Class - Turkish Needle Lace: Knotted Lace Techniques
Materials Needed and Preparation - Required: Gold-plated tapestry needle size #18. Lizbeth size 10 thread. Sharp scissors, Seam ripper, Needle thread. Handkerchief with hemstitching (check out Handy Hands), scarf, or wide fabric ribbon to add edgings. Optional: Desk lamp, magnifying lens for those who have trouble seeing.
Kits and/or other notations - Kit not applicable.

Needle Lace Daisy (Victoria Ong)
Description - In this workshop, Victoria will teach beginners how to make a fringe flower that looks like a daisy. Learning Points: Knots and Loops - The Fundamental Units in Needle Lace Technique, Creating the Flower Center Ring, Adjusting Patterns for More or Less Petals, Casting on New Color or Adding More Thread, Good Practice with Tail Ends, and Casting on Undoing Knots and Mistakes.
Skills Required - None but if they take the class on edging it will help more with this section.
Methods/Technique for Class - Turkish Needle Lace: Knotted Lace Technique
